Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Copywriter / Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in copywriting and editing, with the ability to create compelling and accurate content across various mediums. This role requires excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, write, and edit high-quality content for a variety of mediums, including websites, marketing materials, reports, and technical documents.
· Ensure all content adheres to brand voice and style guidelines.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and create clear, concise, and accurate content.
· Review and revise content for clarity, grammar, flow, and adherence to AP Style.
· Maintain an organized and accessible library of written materials.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.
· Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends to enhance the relevance and impact of content.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or a related discipline.
· 3-5 years of experience in copywriting and editing.
· Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail, grammar, flow, and style.
· Experience writing and adhering to AP Style.
· An excellent writing portfolio demonstrating the ability to use brand voice appropriately across various mediums.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Background in writing for government entities.
· Experience with technical writing and documentation.
· Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and document management systems.
· Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex topics.
· Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and purposes.
